Hold the Line
"It reminded me of something off of Red Hot Chili Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magik with its funky bass lines, heavy guitar riffs, and epic drumming patterns. It's very high energy and grungy for all you rock/blues fans" - Niko, 7 Drum City
In 2015, song-writing duties belonged predominantly to JR, who reached into what he lovingly called his "bag of old songs" to complete the track listing for "Get Up Young Phoenix". That all changed in 2016 as Fellowcraft began writing again. For the first time, every band member had an equal share in the work load. There were challenges, and there were disagreements, but there was also amazing moments of cohesion and clarity. Hold the Line, the first single off the upcoming LP, aptly named "Three", is a song about the quest for solidarity.
Things do not often go the way we think they will. More often than not, we will need to encourage, prop-up, and remind each one another that we must toe the line as a team. Sometimes, it's not a positive discussion, but when done among friends, it can create a near unbreakable bond. We'd like to think that this album speaks to that bond, and Hold the Line especially so. We hope you enjoy the song!
WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING ABOUT IT?
"For the local pick I'm going with DC hard-rock band Fellowcraft, they shot me a link to an exclusive first look at a track off their upcoming release. It reminded me of something off of RHCP's Blood Sugar Sex Magik with it's funky bass lines, heavy guitar riffs, and epic drumming patterns. It's very high-energy and grungy for all you rock/blues fans." - NIKO, 7 DRUM CITY
